If only you knew what you mean to others. So often, we notice the bad and not the good; we notice the honking horn behind us but not the smile on the person’s face we hold the door for. The anger in a loved one’s voice as they yell? Of course we notice that. But we fail to notice the way only we can make them laugh. You were born for a reason, and sent here to change more lives than you can imagine. We spend so much time hoping, wishing, and praying for help that we forget that maybe, just maybe, we are also the help someone else has been hoping, wishing, or praying for. Just as much as we want answers, we have to remember; we are someone’s answer. And that should give you meaning and worth, even in your darkest days.

This world is not an easy place. It’s not supposed to be. We are made stronger with everything that we go through. Our scars are the maps of what we lived through, and allow us to help others along those same paths. And you are important. Oh so important. If only you knew what you are here to do, what you have already done. You have already been so many people’s inspiration, lesson, answer, and question. You have been someone’s love and perhaps even pain. You have been someone’s reason to smile. And you have been someone’s sign. You have asked questions that have made people think, and you have touched the lives of people in ways you could not understand. You echo in millions of others lives and don’t even realize it. And you can’t. Your meaning is beyond your comprehension, and that is a good thing. Stay humble. But don’t doubt your worth.

They say your soul picks out the challenges you will need to encounter during life to make you ready to achieve what you are here for. Through great pain, great change always springs forth. Like any journey, we must prepare, but since we do not know what our meaning is here, life prepares us, for us. We need to see the good in all things; someone or something thinks we are strong enough to handle this life. Our lives have been chosen to be a message to others. And, just as the artist chisels away at the block of marble, a greater power than us sees the “us” we CAN be, and loves us so much that they are willing to chip away at what we are so that we can meet that person inside us, one day. The real us. No one likes pain. And no one likes to cause it. But we must be broken at times to be put back together the right way. Don’t be afraid of being broken. It’s a chance at something more. A chance at what you could be.

You were born because you were going to be important to someone. You need to accept the fact that you are here to change at least one person’s life forever. We are all linked, and if we realized that…The world would be a much better place. Smile more than necessary, it makes you beautiful. Be kind to each other, we are all fighting battles no one knows about. Show kindness, you never know the people you can save with just one kind word. And Love completely. Love is why we are here, and love is the only thing that completes us. Understand that sometimes what we want and what is best is not the same thing. The right thing and the easy thing are often not the same thing. And that’s ok. Don’t ask for an easy life, my friends. Ask for the strength to live the one that someone thought only you could handle. You are here for a reason. And I cannot wait to see what it is. You are so loved. Remember to be one of those people that loves you. And be a sign to others. Let them know they matter to you.
